So please introduce yourself to everyone.
Justin Espino
So how long have you owned the car, the build time, daily or track or show? Any sponsor?
Owned it for 2 years and was stock only for a few weeks. It was originally a daily and now is being built as a track oriented car. Currently Toyo Tires is my sponsor and Evasive Motorsports.
I noticed that you are a big fan of spoon, what made you decide over any other brand/manufacturer (ie: mugen, ASM, Js racing, etc) Im sure money wasnt an issue since spoon ain’t cheap either.
It started with the SW388’s and other main reason I went with Spoon is because of the Aero they offered for the car. I love the looks and functionality of the Spoon Hardtop, Front Bumper, Diffuser, and Hood. All the other stuff just followed.
What are your plans for the car in the future?
For mods: Fender work, new wheels, new suspension setup, etc…
A lot more track days are planned to get the car dialed in correctly and hopefully a couple time attack events.
So what did you think of the shoot, the model.
For the shoot, the MITT guys are real cool, bunch of friendly people. I had a lot of fun during the shoot. Thai was real nice person and not to mention hot!
So what do you think of the idea of models in the trunk (MITT).
MITT is a great idea. With cars and models, you can’t go wrong.
So how is it like working for evasive, any perks, or is it pure slavery.
Working for Evasive is fun. I’ve learned a lot about car setups and have met a bunch of industry people who have also now become friends.
So you track the car, what venue, events, tracks have you gone. How well did you do as a driver or how did the car do.
The car has only been tracked twice. Once at Buttonwillow CW13 which was my first time tracking any car, I still have a lot to learn and could be A LOT faster. The second time was a private track day at streets of willow. There were no transponders so I didn’t know what my lap times were. Both track days the car was not setup correctly, there was air the in brake lines and alignment settings were really off making the car really twitchy. The car is definitely capable of being very fast at the track with the right driver and right suspension setup.
So can I get any free stuff, besides a sticker :-p
License plate frame? Haha… If your looking for parts let me know, i’ll hook it up as much as I can.
Any last words? Props, Hate, or request….?
Props go to Evasive Motorsports, Freshdrive, Toyo Tires, and all my friends.
