Where does the time go? Before we know it Sema has come and gone once again. During the summer we anticipate what will be the newest product or showcase vehicle of Sema. It also happened during a time a un expected hurricane hit the east coast. Attendance to the show was still up to par So what did we learn this past trip? Well the show was much bigger than the previous. With the add of the “New Products Showcase” in the upper South hall. As you also know from now that was Sema highlight was the Scion FR-S/BRZ. Everywhere you look there was a FR-S. Different after market companies adding their touch to the newest iconic sport compact car of our time. I would have to say that Rocket Bunny made a major impression for body kits for Scion Fr-s. As the show had about 5-6 cars sporting the kit. The Scion challenge that Scion holds every year at Sema went to an Fr-s from the east coast built by Chris Basselgia . oddly enough named “Minty Fresh”. I would think Miguel “Minty Z” should probably look into that seeing his Z could have been some inspiration for that build. Evasive motorsports last years runner up to the scion challenge also built an amazing machine as Lance would say. They built a Scion FRS Time attack. Equipped with HKS goodies and air jacks. This is by far our favorite FRS at the show and hopefully we can bring a shoot of the vehicle soon for you viewing pleasure. The other cars of interest were the BenSopra GTR’s. Fatlace built a falken themed one for the falken booth this year. Also the mackin booth was sportin a nice one. As time goes on this show seemed like it forgot about godzilla. The outdoor portion of the show hosted the dub section with lowered trucks to blinged out lambos. There was also a drift track with drift/Rally Display. We also notice that there was a lot of models in attendance this year. I remember the years that every booth would have a model and then those days disappeared. This year they returned and seeing we not only like automotive life we also love dem models! So Sema is and experience that isn’t just about a show. Its vegas it brings friends from all industries together. We catch up on old times and make new stories for next year. Sema was a blast we had our secret meetings and we can’t wait until 2014 for the next. Thanks for having us sema see you soon!!!
Here is our coverage of the sema show. The 2 days we attended the show were clearly not enough time. Going through sema and doing coverage and talking with different vendors is very time consuming. But if you were unfortunate not to come check out what you missed!
