A huge air-cooled gathering that we at MITT have been attending since Day 1. Over the course of the past five years of this event, the prices have risen and skyrocketed of these vehicles here. The first event was over at Deus over in Venice, followed by Bandito Brothers which I rolled to in the Lotus, event Three was over at Modernica in Vernon followed by Four being over at San Pedro and lastly Five over at Ganahl Lumber in Torrance. Love it or hate it there’s an air-cooled Puush car everyone. Awesome job for Patrick Long, Howie Idelson and company for hosting such a great event, bringing together Porsche motorheads throughout the nation, even better is this event is pet, child, and family friendly. Unlike other national gathering meets, most of the vehicles featured at Luft were driven, Seeing camping gear, splattered bugs, and brake dust is a norm. Oh, and we can’t forget the leaky oil rear main’s on the ground. Some of my top favorites at this show included:
- 1954 356
- Pre A 356 in Blue
- Ruf BTR in yellow
- 356 Ice Racer
- Singer 911 (The white on Red and Mullholland)
- 959 SC when you want to Trump the Singer 911.
- The Orange Long Nose with the 993 Swap.
